Overview
At Chapman Cards, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains your rights and our procedures for returns, refunds, damaged items, and faulty goods purchased through our online store.
This policy applies to customers located within the United Kingdom, as we currently only ship within the UK.
Your Consumer Rights
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you generally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods and receive a refund.
However, this right does not apply where goods have been opened, unsealed, or altered in a way that affects their resale value, particularly for collectible and trading card products.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including your rights relating to faulty, damaged, or incorrectly described goods.
Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, all of the following conditions must be met:
- The return request is made within 14 days of delivery.
- The item is unused and in the same condition as received.
- The item remains in its original manufacturer-sealed packaging.
- All original labels, seals, wrapping, and packaging are intact.
- The item is suitable for resale as new.
Products returned without their original sealed packaging will not be eligible for a refund unless they are faulty, damaged, or supplied incorrectly.
Sealed Trading Card Products
Due to the collectible, randomised, and tamper-sensitive nature of Trading Card Game (TCG) products, all sealed products must remain unopened to qualify for a return.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Booster Packs
- Booster Boxes
- Elite Trainer Boxes (ETBs)
- Collection Boxes
- Sealed Decks
- Tins
- Special Collections
- Any other manufacturer-sealed collectible product
Once the original manufacturer seal, shrink wrap, packaging, or security seal has been broken, removed, or damaged, the product becomes non-returnable and non-refundable unless the item is faulty or was supplied incorrectly.
Non-Returnable Items
We cannot accept returns or provide refunds for:
- Any product that has been opened or unsealed.
- Any item returned without its original sealed packaging.
- Trading cards removed from sealed packaging.
- Products damaged due to misuse, neglect, improper storage, or customer handling.
- Gift cards.
- Digital products or downloadable content (if applicable).
All sales of opened or unsealed trading card products are final unless the item is faulty under UK consumer law.
Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photographs of the item and external packaging
Where appropriate, we may offer:
- A replacement
- A partial refund
- A full refund
- Another remedy as required under UK consumer law

Returns sent without prior authorisation may be refused.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless:
- The item is faulty
- The wrong item was supplied
- The item arrived damaged
We strongly recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we cannot be held responsible for returns lost in transit.
Refund Processing
Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that they have been sent back.
Original shipping charges will only be refunded where required under applicable UK consumer law.
